The Heart of our Community

Over the 14 years I have lived in Poway I have used the Poway Library for many different purposes. I used their baby and toddler story times to meet other parents and allow my children to socialize, while developing a true love for books. I have used their community rooms to hold math club meetings for elementary students. My children have always looked forward to their summer programs and buying used books from their little bookstore. We love our Library. We find it as a great resource in our community.

The library: A sacred home away from home

I am at the library several times a week, all over the county. I am a single mom that works primarily remotely. I prefer to work around others and focus best at the library. I also can bring my daughter with me and she finds other kids to socialize with, tons of books to read, and engaging programs on the computer. A quality place to relax and spend a few hours

One afternoon I was out with my family including my two children ages 8 and 10. We had been out for lunch and found ourselves with some time to kill until our evening appointment yet were too far from home to go home and drive back. We all needed a place to relax for an hour or so and didn't want to go to a cafe and eat or spend money anywhere else.
