A quality place to relax and spend a few hours

One afternoon I was out with my family including my two children ages 8 and 10. We had been out for lunch and found ourselves with some time to kill until our evening appointment yet were too far from home to go home and drive back. We all needed a place to relax for an hour or so and didn't want to go to a cafe and eat or spend money anywhere else. We ended up at the local library there, which we had never been to since we live far from there. It was so nice to explore and it ended up being such a lovely afternoon. We could recharge with some downtime and while doing an educational activity. It was a summer day so it was nice to get out of the heat and it was free! I think people often overlook the library as a place to hang out, but it is such a lovely place to spend some time and relax. There are so few places these days where one can just go without having to spend money and we are so fortunate to have libraries in our community that create such lovely spaces for the public and are educational. To me, it doesn't get much better than that! Thank you for doing what you do!
