Research Family History

My grandfather, William B. Sears was a radio announcer and had television programs in Philadelphia in the 1940's and 1950's. He was also an author and travelled to Africa for the Baha'i Faith. We had records that early in his career in the 1930's, he had written various one act plays that were published by the Dramatic Publishing Company. Through websites like https://www.worldcat.org (A worldwide catalogue) we were able to locate copies of 4 of his one act plays. Because the San Diego County Library is part of the Interlibrary Loan program, I was able to just go into the Valley Center Branch Library and order copies. The librarians helped to fill out the paper work, and in a couple of weeks, hard copies of the plays arrived! One came from the Library of Congress, one from the University of Wisconsin and two from the University of Washington (Seattle).

Thank you San Diego County Library and Librarians!

Jim
