Where a child’s mind grows freely

I started taking my daughter regularly to our local library when she was 4 years old so that she may learn things that I have trouble teaching. Every book is infinite knowledge and ideas to get us through life in the eyes of a child. She loves choosing bedtime books, doing the activities, learning on the computers, doing the puzzles. I am so grateful that the libraries keep having resources and kind faces to keep that community alive.

I’ve been goin to the San Marcos branch since I was a kid. From the clubs to playing PBS Kids games on the computer. Every summer my nephew and I attend the kids STEAM activities and reading challenges. The library has always been the safe, fun, air conditioned place we go to when we just feel like getting out of the house for a little.I appreciate all the staff and every since last book on the shelves. Research Family History

My grandfather, William B. Sears was a radio announcer and had television programs in Philadelphia in the 1940's and 1950's. He was also an author and travelled to Africa for the Baha'i Faith. We had records that early in his career in the 1930's, he had written various one act plays that were published by the Dramatic Publishing Company. Through websites like https://www.worldcat.org (A worldwide catalogue) we were able to locate copies of 4 of his one act plays.
