πŸ’š my SDCL audiobooks

I am dyslexic, which means I read really slowly. So it takes me a long time to get through books, which means I would only get through a few books a year. I still read a book at night before bed because it makes me tired. I love the fact that SDCL has a large audiobook collection, which has made such a difference in my life. Because of this, I can enjoy many more books. I recently listened to a science article that talked about how listening to books actually lights up the same areas of the brain as reading books. So those of you who are snobbish about audiobooks not being the same as reading, science has proven differently. The plus side of audiobooks is that I can do mundane things like fold laundry, clean, or weed the backyard while listening to a book, which makes these tasks more enjoyable. Also, I am on a limited budget and can't afford to pay for an audiobook subscription. Thank you, SDCL, for the big & growing audiobook collection!!!
