Friendships Begin at The Library

I started coming into the library regularly when my oldest child turned two. I was as stay at home parent and needed a some adult interaction and to get out of the house. The library was a safe and affordable place to visit. We were walking distance from a library, and we started going to the weekly pre-school Storytimes. I was fortunate to meet several other parents who lived in the neighborhood and had children of similar ages. Some of these parents became my good friends and remain good friends over a decade later! It was invaluable to find a group of parents going through similar things to vent with, ask questions, and have playdates. I appreciate what the library did for my family! The library helped my children develop a love of reading and books, and helped grow their social skills. I believe that the weekly Storytimes had a huge impact on their pre-school and kindergarten preparedness. Thank you SDCL!
