Green Industries

The County is committed to building a healthier, more sustainable future. This means protecting the environment, growing the local economy, and creating good jobs for families and communities. The Green Industries and High Road Jobs Plan is one way the County is putting this commitment into action.

This Plan will find and support green industries in our region that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create jobs, and help local communities. Industry focus areas include energy supply, buildings, transportation, farming and working lands, and blue technology.

The County is working with community groups, schools, and businesses to learn more about green jobs, identify training needs, and help new industries grow here.

Your input will help shape the future of company and job training priorities for the region. The County will use your ideas to inform the Plan.
