I'm dyslexic and the library is where my grandma helped me overcome my disability and learn how to read above my grade level checking out books like Nancy drew.

Raising a reader

I grew up surrounded by books - my family bought me books for my birthday and Christmas, and I would come home from library trips with my arms full of books. My mom and aunt loved to read. I remember learning how to read the titles of the books on their shelves and flipping through the pages, excited for when I was finally able to read chapter books like them.
