Birthday Book
Growing up in my hometown, my favorite part of the neighborhood was being just down the street from the library. I adored visiting the library, and it became even more special thanks to a unique program that sent me a new book every birthday. My absolute favorite was “Dinorella,” a delightful dinosaur version of Cinderella, and it filled me with joy and wonder.
As I moved on to college and grad school, libraries continued to be a sanctuary. They offered a peaceful refuge amidst the busyness of student life and a space to connect with peers. Whether it was studying late into the night or finding inspiration in the stacks, libraries were always there to support me.
Now, in San Diego, the Vista Library has become my go-to haven. It’s not just a place for books; it’s a community hub. From garden seeds that inspire my love of planting to coloring days that bring creativity, the Vista Library embodies a sense of home. It also supports the community with a food bank and a blood bank, enriching lives in so many ways.
