A Wonderful Resource!

I have always loved libraries and visiting the local San Diego County’s libraries is one of my favorite things to do. They are clean, quiet and relaxing.

I also appreciate the ability to use digital version of books and magazines. Having this service available has opened up so many new choices of material that I would likely never get a chance to read. Thank you for this!

i am not a big fan of television, but am very appreciative of the ability to check out DVDs, especially new movies.

A story.

I have had the same SD County library card for probably 30 years. Recently the check out computer was having trouble reading my card, so I asked for help from the librarian. She took my card and expressed excitement at having never seen that version of card before (because of the age). She said in such a manner that it brought a smile to me. It is nice to be a long time customer!

I could not possibly afford all the books I want to read

At the Heart of Matters: The Library

In San Diego, I frequented the Rancho Penasquitos branch. I took out books, used media, swapped stories with the head librarian, and even taught English as Second Language (ESL) on behalf of Palomar College before CovID. You see, the library, all libraries have been a place where the heart of matters count. It’s where people gather, friendships form and stories matter, real or imaginary.
