Community Park in Tijuana River Valley

County Parks is committed to providing access, creating beautiful parks, and preserving open spaces for all residents of San Diego County. We are designing a 64-acre community park in the Tijuana River Valley and need your feedback.
Your input is important to help guide the design of this park. Your suggestions will shape the final concept plan and the types of features included.

The Community Park
The park will offer a variety of features to improve recreation for both the local community and the region. The design will turn an undeveloped area into a space that everyone, no matter their age or ability, can enjoy.
The park could include soccer and baseball/softball fields, multi-use fields, sports courts, areas for horseback riding, a playground for kids, a food stand, restrooms, and parking. Design efforts will also include the creation of a master plan for the Regional Park.
The Tijuana River Valley Regional Park
The Regional Park is mostly owned by San Diego County. It has beautiful natural areas, including beaches, dunes, salt marshes, rivers, and upland ecosystems. These habitats are home to many plants and animals, including 340 species of migratory birds. The park also has important cultural and historical sites.
The 1,800-acre park has 22.5 miles of trails, a Bird & Butterfly Garden, a campground, sports fields, a community garden, and more. Nearby, the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve and local beaches offer more ways to enjoy the outdoors and relax.
