Community Planning Group and Small Stakeholder Group Presentations
Staff presented to five stakeholder groups representing Land Development, the Building Industry Association (BIA),Environmental Coalition, Labor Union, and Farm Bureau, along with several Community Planning Groups on the Sustainable Land Use Framework and the draft Goals and Objectives, prior to presenting to the Board of Supervisors in summer 2024.

Staff shared an introduction to the Sustainability Principles (vision statements) and an overview of the parcel-by-parcel analysis (Development Feasibility Analysis) in VMT Efficient and Infill Areas in the Unincorporated Area.

Senate Bill (SB) 743 – Effective
SB 743 identified vehicle miles traveled (VMT) as the new standard to evaluate a project’s environmental impact.
