Reminder – New County Office for Environmental Justice Reviewed at Feb. 9 Board Meeting

Dear Valued Community Member,

Next week, on Feb. 9 at 9 a.m., the San Diego County Board of Supervisors (Board) will be discussing the establishment of the County’s new Office of Environmental and Climate Justice (Office).

Please join us online to learn more about what the Office will do and how it will serve the community when it comes to environmental justice and engagement in unincorporated neighborhoods. The goal of the Office is to better understand the neighborhoods’ needs, the community’s preferences for involvement, and to collaborate with other regional agencies and cities to attract funding and services.

More detail, including a proposed Roadmap for the Office’s first year of work is available on the Office website. Instruction on how to provide comment and watch a live broadcast of the meeting can be found at the County’s Clerk of the Board website.
