Where is the Otay Valley Regional Park located?

The park is located in southern San Diego county, 4 miles north of the United States/Mexico international border. What is considered a recreational amenity?

Recreational amenities are features or facilities within a park or recreational area that are designed to provide leisure, enjoyment and entertainment to visitors. Examples that may be considered for Active Recreation Area 3 include sports fields, an amphitheater, a community center, a playground, a disc golf course, a dog park, a community garden, nature trails, bike trails, skate park, interpretive signage, and accessible restrooms and parking.

Will the environmental impacts of the proposed recreational options be reviewed?

The project will include a thorough environmental review in accordance with State guidelines to protect open space, conserved lands and wildlife, and historic, agricultural, and archaeological resources. The County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation works every day to balance recreation opportunities with efforts to protect native habitats, local wildlife and areas of historical and cultural significance.
