The County of San Diego outsources its information technology and telecommunications services. The contract with the current provider is approaching its end. The County expects a new contract to begin in 2028.

The County will start the competitive process to choose a vendor for the next IT contract. We invite the public to offer their input on what the County should consider in providing IT services.

You can view the entire current Information Technology Outsourcing Contract to understand the kind of services involved. The services may change in a future contract. The County may use multiple vendors rather than one primary vendor.

The County has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to learn more about vendor and service options. You can provide your comments through February 15, 2026. County staff will review the RFI and your input to make recommendations in February 2026 on next steps for the future of IT services.
