  • Share Is there a worksheet like this[1] that calculates the amount of unpaid work/volunteer hours based on the benefits received for CalFresh(and medi-cal?) Monthly Benefits ÷ Minimum Wage = work/volunteer hours requirements Additionally, will we be needing official employers/organizations to volunteer at or can I self report hours on a particular project? Maybe weekly like this[2]. No, there is no worksheet that calculates the amount of unpaid work/volunteer hours based on the benefits CalFresh received. The CalFresh work requirements are not based on benefits received. The work requirements for CalFresh are set to be 20 hours a week or 80 hours per month. With regards to Medi-Cal work requirements, we are still pending further guidance from DHCS.

This form is available, but verification of volunteer hours can be accepted in various ways including a written statement from the employer/organization specifying the name or the organization, date of volunteer work, and hours completed; or verbal confirmation provided to the eligibility worker.
