Wide Range of Resources

We are a homeschool family, and I appreciate the ability to request vast resources both from local libraries and from Link+ to support the rich education I strive to provide to my four daughters. After requesting huge numbers of books, I evaluate them for age and content appropriateness, then choose which to read aloud to my girls, and which to make available for personal reading. We also add some of the books to our "quick picks" reading baskets around the house, where my children's interest is piqued and knowledge grows, even with just a minute or two invested. I especially appreciate the availability of rich and varied primary sources, which are key to developing critical thinking skills and a genuine love of history. There have many times I have checked out a book, and then decided to purchase it for our personal library because it is indispensable. Libraries are essential for literacy that we utilize not only to enjoy the beauty of God's creation and character, but also to evaluate the world as we develop our worldview and determine how to live in accordance.
