Peace and Resources
Beyond an abundance of books, media, and helping hands - The San Diego County Library System provides free resources, community gatherings for all ages, enrichment activities, learning opportunities, and a safe, peaceful place to land.
When my children were young, the Encinitas Library provided a place to connect with other families, and enjoy engaging story times combined with song and movement. We always left with our bag filled with dozens of books, and a place to play afterwards - the park across the street.
Now that they are older, they use the Solana Beach library for a quiet place to study - one of them meets her weekly tutor here after school, another meets his foreign language teacher here. The private meeting rooms allow for focused learning opportunities. They are available on a first come, first serve basis. There are magazines lining the shelves, and puzzles and games on the tables for delightful engagement.
I have adored the peace and quiet of Rancho Santa Fe Library for meeting with a women's writer's group, and discovering current cook books to elevate my craft.
Simply put, the San Diego County Library system is a tremendous community asset for literature and resources, while also providing a place to gather, grow, and connect.
