My Connection to the community

My library is a place where I can go without judgement and just "be". I get to browse the stacks, sit in front of a window and just unwind. I have signed up for book clubs and met people I would never meet otherwise. Libaries aren't just books, they are a place where I get to see people of all ages interact and have conversations that create more trust among neighbors.

Last bastion of 3rd spaces

I love the library! It is one of the last places where people aren't obligated to to purchase anything. It's a place you can freely read, learn, and explore vast fictional worlds. Recently I borrowed cook books I wouldn't have be to have access too. I learned how to make focaccia!

Libraries are for the people!

Maya Angelou once said, “If I can get to the library in any town, I’ll be ok.” Our local branch is a bustling, lively place that brings people together. Whether I am checking out audiobooks from home or picking up my books on hold, coming here instantly makes my day better. I especially love how central it seems to the loves of so many of us, my family included! My parents, my siblings and their kids, and I often gather here together just to squeeze in some weekday family time. It’s a very special place that offers something different yet…
