An Invaluable Resource for All Ages

Let's start with the fact that I love the library... When our girls were little it was a resource for books, classes, and a quiet space to do homework between after-school events. Our girls have grown up and they aren't local anymore, but the San Diego Library instilled a love of libraries in them and they immediately joined their local libraries in their new cities.

I still use the library every week. For hardcopy books, kindle book loans, and a quiet space to read or research. I even occasionally go to a class if there is one I can attend. I also love the quiet rooms that you can use or reserve in many of the libraries. I can't say enough good things about our local libaries. Thank you!

One of the best libraries I have ever visited

I live in Valley Center and frequent the Valley Center Library often. It is beautiful with its paranoramic views, comfortable with its strategically positioned tables and chairs, some being lounge chairs next to a non-functioning fireplace. The staff is very helpful and welcoming, and the patrons are well-behaved and respectful (lol). This library offers a host of programs and activities for both adults and children that I do not really participate in. the library is one of my favorite places in the whole world! i've been an avid reader since childhood and i can't imagine how many rooms i'd have to fill (and how expensive it would be!) to obtain all the books i have read and wish to read. the library is an enormous boon to society, to education, to creativity, and to our world. i love our libraries and librarians!
