A Library Close to My Heart (4S Ranch San Diego County Library )
The library is an important part of my life, both as an educator and as a parent. As a teacher, I regularly visit the library to find books for my classroom stories that spark curiosity, support learning, and help children see themselves in what they read. I also gain inspiration from library story times, learning new ways to engage children through storytelling, songs, and activities that I bring back to my class.
As a parent, the library is a place I always visit with my kids. It’s where we spend time together choosing books, listening to stories, and building a love for reading. These visits have become meaningful family moments that encourage curiosity, imagination, and connection.
To me, the library is more than a place to borrow books. It is a shared community space that supports learning, creativity, and togetherness- for educators, families, and children alike.
