What are Emergency Contracts?

Emergency Contracts are contracts used only during emergencies. Sometimes there are very unique or special services and tools that the County needs to use during and after a disaster. These are so unique, that it is easier to contract the work out during an emergency rather than to have current staff perform the work. These emergency contracts typically have no or very little cost to the County until an emergency in which they may be used.
