The County of San Diego is working to reduce gun violence. Community input will help shed light on the impact gun violence is having on our communities and help to identify possible solutions.

The County will use community input along with technical research to:

  • Better understand the scope of gun violence in the region and the communities most affected
  • Identify community concerns related to gun violence
  • Explore challenges and community solutions to reducing gun violence
  • Find community resources and best practices in gun violence prevention, intervention, and recovery

The data and key findings gathered will result in a Community Needs Assessment report and be presented to the public and the Board of Supervisors.

Thank you for being here. We look forward to hearing from you!

Important Note: Within the context of this project, gun violence refers to all types of gun violence, including suicide; family, domestic partner, intimate partner violence; and community violence.
