How Selection Works
- What we are looking for: Interest & motivation, lived experience/strengths, community involvement, and understanding of fairness & opportunity for boys and young men of color (birth–26)
- Short conversation: Some applicants will be invited to a 30-minute virtual conversation. Interpretation, ASL, captions, and translated materials are available upon request.
- Final decisions: We use conversation scores, then do a representation check (not scored) to build a balanced 12-member CAG across roles (youth 16–26, parents/caregivers, community/system partners), priority populations (e.g., LGBTQIA+, Tribal communities, etc.), and all five Supervisorial Districts.
- Demographics: Optional and not scored. These are used only to understand representation.
