Community Advisory Listening Sessions
The County of San Diego is planning a Semiquincentennial Celebration (250th anniversary of the United States), an opportunity to reflect on our shared history and uplift the diverse communities that shape our region. Your voice matters in shaping this moment. Please complete this short form to RSVP and share your perspective. *We value your voice. While we may not be able to incorporate every idea exactly as suggested, we will carefully review all feedback and do our best to reflect it within our constraints (time, budget, location, etc.).
We are especially seeking input from:
- Tribal nations and Native American communities
- Immigrant communities and immigrant-serving organizations
- LGBTQIA+ communities
- Other historically underserved populations
Through these conversations, we hope to co-create:
- How we honor history while acknowledging past and present
- What stories, cultures, and voices should be elevated
- What meaningful community participation looks like (e.g., performances, art, storytelling, tabling)
- How to create an event rooted in belonging, inclusion, and community pride
