What is the County's budget process?
A majority of the Board of Supervisors is required, after public hearings and changes, to vote on and adopt a Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27 and tentatively approve a Budget for Fiscal Year 2027-28 before July 1.
Why is the County looking to enhance outreach to Board meetings at this time?
In response to a new California state law, SB 707, several updates to the Brown Act will take effect on July 1, 2026.
