Event Description:
The Community Climate Conversation is an event celebrating how to turn private property into a tree planting location. This free, family-friendly, and fun event will feature education on the Regional Decarbonization Framework (RDF), the importance of trees, and how community members can be stewards of trees. The event will feature three hands-on activities that the community will be invited to participate in: planting a tree in the ground, planting a tree in a barrel or container, and gardening / harvesting in the on-site production garden. Food, activities, and resources will be on site and available for all. Join us to learn more about Community Climate Conversations and the importance of tree planting as a tool in supporting the Regional Decarbonization Framework. The event will be led by Bayside Community Center in partnership with Urban Collaborative Project, Advancing Students Forward (host site), the County of San Diego, and various community-based organizations and community members.

UCP aims to host sustainable events. We recommend alternative transportation options such as walking, biking, carpooling, or taking public transit. The Trolley System Orange line has two stops near the location: 47th street and Euclid Avenue. Bus lines, 3, 4, 5, 13, 60, 916, 917, and 955.
- What is the parking situation?
- The Earthlab is located next to Millennial Tech Middle School and Gompers Park. There is plenty of street parking adjacent to the park off Hilltop Dr and Carolina Ln.
