The San Diego County Citizens’ Law Enforcement Review Board (CLERB) Wants Your Input!

Purpose of the Project

The Citizens’ Law Enforcement Review Board (CLERB) is currently developing its goals for 2025, and your input is critical in shaping our priorities. We are eager to hear your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions on how we can enhance our work. By gathering insights from stakeholders like you, CLERB’s staff and board members will be better positioned to set meaningful goals for 2025. Your feedback will also help us identify the resources, staffing, and tools needed to meet these objectives. Our goal is to work in collaboration with the community to develop goals that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART). Together, we can strengthen our efforts and better serve our community.

Primary Objectives:

• Raise awareness of CLERB and its role in the community.
• Gather feedback from a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure broad representation.
• Align our key priorities with community input.

How Can You Participate?

We invite you to complete a short survey with five (5) multiple-choice and four (4) open-ended questions. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. It will be live starting November 7, 2024, and will close on December 21, 2024. The results will be shared publicly during CLERB’s first board meeting scheduled in 2025.

Who Can Participate?

• Community members
• Sworn officers (Sheriff’s Deputies and Probation Officers)
• CLERB staff and board members
• County staff
• Individuals who frequently interact with the Sheriff’s Department and Probation Department

How Will Your Input Be Used?

The feedback gathered through this survey will directly inform CLERB’s goals for 2025. The results will help us identify key priorities and shape our efforts to meet the community’s needs better. By working together, we aim to set SMART goals that are responsive and impactful. Your voice is essential in this process
